![]() It's the first time I've had gel acrylics and they're short and I'm happy. Then they make you feel bad for going shorter (like that video on FB!) But this woman cut right to the chase, bam super short and then asked. ![]() Usually they cut half way down (still 4cm long) and think that's short. They were the first nail salon to actually listen to me when I said I wanted my fake nails SHORT. Most of the other staff members are friendly but at the end of the day, I'd prefer someone to just be damn good at their job more than anything. ![]() The lady who did my nails did a wonderful job (despite hating life it seemed). They're SUPER busy, it's probably better to book next time as they're very popular. I usually go somewhere closer to home but I ran out of time and ended up going here on my lunch break. I don't know how long they've been around - seems like they're relatively new. HMU if anyone knows any good nail salons in the CBD. I've even had to return back after the shellac peeled within the first day. The staff are sweet, but the nail jobs usually feel rushed and I leave disappointed. Sure the coffee was free, but then there's like milk, and a cup, and chocolate powder.I used to love this place, but I've decided I'm not going back. Imagine going to a coffee shop with the promise of a "free coffee," and being asked at the counter for $3. Apparently it costs $15 to buff nails and remove polish from one finger. So you can imagine my disbelief when I am asked at the counter for $15. After well over 10 visits I was super excited to claim my "free shellac," right in time for my 22nd birthday. Plus, the promise of a "free shellac" at the end of the card was too tempting an offer to go elsewhere. It's underneath where I work and was super convienient, almost too good to be true. So naturally I stamped my loyalty card every time I visited Liquid. But if you get the lady I had today, you’ll be sore and disappointed. If you’re lucky enough to get one of the kind girls who works there, and shows you genuine care and interest in you as a customer- then this place is the place to go to for your nails. Save yourself the money, pain and trouble it causes. But hell, I don’t want to go back to LNB. I asked for her name but she didn’t give her name to me so I can’t directly say who this nail lady was. I also asked to keep my natural long length of my own nails, but instead she cut them down so short, it’s unattractive and chipped my natural nail too. And when she asked me to stop shaking, I asked her to be more careful and gentle with the removal.īut instead, she continued being super rough and I was in pain. ![]() Removing the acrylics, she was so rough that I was in so much pain that my hands were shaking. It wasn’t overly busy so the lady I had could’ve given me her time and care but she didn’t. I was at the nail bar for no longer than 5-10 minutes. Mine were grown out a bit, so I thought the removal of my acrylics would be a nice, painless procedure and being a customer of LNB for a while, I thought and believed the nail lady would give me her time and care to ensure my natural nails are great before leaving. Usually I would give this place 5 stars and if you check previous reviews I’ve made about LNB, I have given them 5 star reviews but I can’t make that same review today.ĭue to circumstances, I had to have my acrylic nails removed. ![]()
